On the 6th of August, 2024, OMEP Nigeria, under the leadership of Dr. Adefunke Ekine, the National President, hosted another inspiring webinar that left a lasting impact on its participants. The webinar, held in collaboration with Teaching Strategies, featured Suzana Spina, the International Director for Partner Success from Teaching Strategies, USA, as the esteemed facilitator. Suzana Spina delivered an insightful presentation on the vital role of play in the teaching and learning process in early childhood education.
She highlighted the importance of incorporating play into early childhood education, emphasizing how it not only makes learning enjoyable but also provides numerous opportunities for exploration. Through play, children can learn, have fun, and develop essential skills such as creativity, problem-solving, social interaction, and physical coordination. The session underscored the importance of creating environments that nurture these opportunities, enabling children to thrive and reach their full potential.
